Audiovisual: Marko Ciciliani – Barbara Lüneburg – Gerhard Nierhaus

In this concert Marko Ciciliani, Barbara Lüneburg and Gerhard Nierhaus cope with audiovisual design in very different ways. We expect the premiere of the work Steina for violin (Barbara Lüneburg), live-electronics and live-generated video and laser design by Marko Ciciliani and a new work for fixed media by Gerhard Nierhaus. Wheras Ciciliani, beneath the use of light and laser, often includes elements of live-electronic sound processing, Nierhaus prefers the studio-produced media, working with generative algorithms. His composition to be premiered is the continuation of the project Broken Slide, which started with an exhibition of micro photos and an accompanying sound installation some weeks before in the cultural center. Barbara Lüneburg will present a part of a performance from her FWF-funded artistic research project “TransCoding–from ‘Highbrow Art’ to Participatory Culture”.
